Energy Company Obligation
The Energy Company Obligation is a domestic energy efficiency programme funded due to a legal obligation on the energy suppliers.
This is also known as the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) and assists low income and vulnerable households to affordably heat their homes. The following measures can be installed for free for households who meet certain criteria:
- Loft or cavity wall insulation
- Boiler repairs or replacement
Carbon Saving Communities Obligation (CSCO)
Focuses on provision of insulation measures and connections to district heating systems for domestic energy users living in an area of low income
- Solid Wall, cavity wall and loft insulation
Carbon Emissions Reduction Obligation (CERO)
This focuses on hard-to-treat homes and measures that cannot be fully funded through the Green Deal.
